TRXL Turns 5: Thanks for Being Part of This
TRXL turns 5! Nearly 200 episodes of deep, game-changing AEC tech conversations. What began as a COVID project is now a go-to platform. In this special anniversary post, I reflect on the journey, what makes TRXL unique, and what’s ahead.

When I hit “record” on the first episode of TRXL back in 2020, I honestly thought I might make it to ten episodes—maybe. It started as a COVID project. I had podcasting experience over at Archispeak (now in our 13th year!). I had the gear. I had some ideas. And I was pretty sure there were a handful of people worth talking to about how technology influences the evolution of the AEC industry.
So I got through the first 10 episodes and thought I was done. It turns out… there are plenty of people worth listening to. And even more who want to be part of the conversation.
Fast forward five years, and somehow… we’re approaching 200 episodes.
That’s over 200 hours of conversations with the people shaping the future of AEC. Technologists, architects, engineers, software developers, firm leaders, industry disruptors, and enthusiastic tinkerers. Each one has shown up ready to go deep—to share insights, lessons, frustrations, and hope.
The result? A living, breathing archive of where we’ve been, where we’re going, and how we might get there together.
Looking Back
TRXL has become a unique space for deep, long-form conversations about the future of AEC told through the voices of technologists, firm leaders, software creators, researchers, and the passionate folks working behind the scenes.
These are real conversations. Unscripted. Honest. And hopefully, helpful.
And while most podcasts fade before they hit 10 episodes (seriously—about 75% don’t make it that far), TRXL is still going strong five years in.
That’s thanks to you.
To the incredible guests who have generously shared their time, experience, and unfiltered thoughts—thank you. You’ve made this a platform worth listening to.
To the listeners and supporters—whether you’ve tuned in since episode 1 or just found your way here—you are the reason this continues to exist. Your messages, reposts, notes of encouragement, and even your challenges have made TRXL stronger.
I'm also deeply grateful to our sponsors. Few companies in AEC tech are willing to support independent media, and I truly appreciate those who have.
Why It Still Matters
In an industry that often struggles to talk openly and candidly about change, TRXL has become a space for honest, necessary conversation. We talk about what’s working, what’s broken, and what we’re building next. These aren’t marketing pitches—they’re explorations. And clearly, there’s a hunger for that.
What started as an experiment during lockdown has evolved into a meaningful, ongoing dialogue for AEC professionals at every level. It’s proof that this community wants to connect, learn, and challenge the status quo.
Looking Forward
If you’ve found value in TRXL—if an episode helped you see your work differently, inspired you to try something new, or just made you feel more connected to the people pushing this industry forward—now’s the time to help TRXL keep going.
