There is no slowing down as the beginning of the school year approaches. In fact, the elementary school I designed a couple of years ago is finishing up and will be opening in August, so I'll be posting photos of that in a few weeks. Until then, work is happening furiously to meet the final days of the schedule. When I think of summer, I think of *vacation*. It's a time for recharging my batteries and widening my experiences so I can be a better architect. Summer for my family means there's an adventure, and we went on a great one this year. We went to Lake Powell which is on the southern border of Utah and Arizona. We rented a house boat, brought a couple of speed boats, and travelled about 50 miles up the lake. Here's a map to orient you: It was an epic trip, and there's a lot to write about it, but instead of doing that I've decided I would rather show you my pictures. It's a place that should be experienced in person, and I hope you'll put it on your list of must-see places after viewing it through my lens. As a friend of mine who saw these pictures said, "It was a very RGB vacation." You'll see what he means when you see the photos. So grab some popcorn and enjoy the slideshow.
