This is a façade replacement design for the center portion of a building that was built in the 60’s. It is currently travertine, and it’s getting dangerously close to falling off because of how brittle it is. The goal here is to replace the existing material with something much lighter weight, while at the same time giving a sense of movement and flow to the building which in turn reinforces the owner’s identity in the transportation market.

The louvers are static, but as you walk around or drive by it, the structure will appear to animate because of the reflections and differing angles. It will light up at night, too, which will hopefully be even more successful as we’ve put a lot of thought into the lighting design.
