I Heart Squarespace by Evan Troxel

Q: "What'd you do yesterday?"

A: "Oh, I trucked gallons of fuel up a highrise building by hand most of the day."

Here's just one more (huge) reason why I support Squarespace to host my website. They went way above and way beyond the call of duty for their customers during and after Hurricane Sandy:

I am proud to announce that throughout this event, Squarespace customers experienced absolutely no downtime related to the power outage. This is an amazing outcome considering the extraordinary circumstances we faced last week. What remains is an incredible story.

For those of you that haven’t been following our updates, employees from Squarespace, Fog Creek, and Peer1 manually carried fuel up 17 flights of stairs for three days to save our generator while an interim fuel supply and pump could be installed. These efforts to provide uninterrupted service for our customers [...]

Introducing Squarespace 6 by Evan Troxel

This is a huge update for SqSp.

I've been using Squarespace for a few years now on my Method site, and I've been beta testing the new version (this site runs on the new v6 platform) and it's a joy to use. If you're considering making a portfolio, website or blog, I honestly suggest you give it a whirl. It's amazing. I trust it way more than other free services (you get what you pay for, remember) and you own your own content! Ever wonder why those services are free?

At its core, Squarespace is about your online identity. Your web presence is a direct extension of your personality. It is critically important all businesses and individuals not only have an online presence they are proud of, but one that they are in control of.

I'll be launching 2 other sites on the new SqSp platform this summer as well. I really like it. Check out the new homepage for the latest info. Just look at the templates!
