This is an older easy-listen from the archives. It was tentatively named Purple Spray while under construction and renamed Safety upon completion. I play guitar and bass, Jared is vocals and keys. It came together after I wrote the tune initially on guitar. Jared worked on it for a while after that. We balanced the two main instruments to play off each other throughout the song. After the main recording was done, I added the bass part to fill in the lower frequencies with a heavy dose of inspiration from Jim Croce’s bassist’s style.
